Members’ Corner | FIERE association grows to 15 members with 10 new additions

In June 2025, five French associations, among which our member SERCE, created the Filière Industrielle des Entreprises des Réseaux Électriques (FIERE) to represent and strengthen the French electrical networks industry. Its mission is to support the development of companies active in this essential sector, which generates jobs across France and contributes to sustainable growth. It also seeks to foster closer cooperation between the various actors of the value chain.

Following its first Board meeting, the association is already expanding. FIERE now counts 15 members, including its five founding members (Enedis, RTE, and the professional organisations GIMELEC, SYCABEL, and SERCE) as well as 10 new associate members, representing Granting Authorities, distribution network operators, professional unions of local distribution companies, and a professional organisation.

The arrival of these new members highlights the relevance of FIERE’s creation for the entire ecosystem: network operators, equipment suppliers, professional organisations, and local authorities. To structure its work, the association has set up four dedicated commissions focusing on Public Affairs, Attractiveness and Skills, CSR, and Industry/Finance/Territories.

The electrical networks sector in France today represents 100,000 jobs, with a strong local presence and a positive contribution to the country’s trade balance. Looking ahead, the sector will need to recruit over 43,000 workers by 2030 to meet the requirements of the energy transition.
