Between 10 and 12 of June, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) and CINEA organise the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), with year’s edition focusing on the Clean Industrial Deal and the role of EU energy policy in driving a clean, competitive and just transition.
On this occasion, EuropeOn will take part in two high-level sessions, bringing the voice of European electrical contractors to key discussions with policymakers and stakeholders.
On 10 June, Federico Fucci, EuropeOn’s Policy Advisor, will speak at the session “People to power-up Europe: make the transition a reality with skilled workers.” This session will provide an overview of employment trends and highlight the growing need for skilled professionals to support the energy transition. It will also explore the efforts required to attract and train talent in the sector. As symbolic as it can be, this session takes place on the International Day of the Electrician, so stay tuned to hear Federico’s insights on the essential role electricians play in advancing the energy transition.
On 11 June, Emma Elheim Karlsson, EuropeOn Vice President and CEO of the Swedish based company Hallabro El, will join a high-level stakeholder dialogue on permitting for renewable energy projects and related infrastructure, alongside Commissioner Dan Jørgensen. This session will address the implementation of EU legislation to speed up and simplify permitting procedures. It will also examine current challenges and identify future actions to help accelerate the deployment of clean energy.
