AI, digitalisation and skills: EuropeOn members meet in Copenhagen

At the end of May, EuropeOn members travelled to Copenhagen for two days of insightful exchanges and meetings, kindly hosted by our Danish member TEKNIQ.

The programme began with a series of internal meetings and discussions together with colleagues from GCP Europe. The meetings also marked some important updates for the association, as EuropeOn officially welcomed Manel Roma Sólvez (FEGiCAT – Catalonia) as a new Board Member. Angelos Kountourgiannis (POSEH – Greece) was announced as Board Observer.

On a more cultural note, participants also had the opportunity to visit Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament, together with Member of Parliament Thomas Skriver Jensen. This was a great opportunity to exchange views on current political developments in Denmark and Europe.

AI, digitalisation and skills

The second day focused on innovation, digitalisation, and workforce challenges in the electrical sector. EuropeOn members visited TEKNIQ’s innovative headquarters, including its impressive BIPV façade, and were welcomed by the organisation’s robotic receptionist, Aino.

The visit offered valuable insights into TEKNIQ’s approach to artificial intelligence and the digitalisation of internal processes. Participants attended a presentation by Arthur Storm Teglbjærg, CEO of Spaak Technologies, who shared perspectives on the growing potential of AI in the public affairs sector.

Finally, members learned more about several innovative initiatives developed to tackle workforce shortages and attract new talent to the sector, a challenge shared across many European countries.

EuropeOn warmly thanks TEKNIQ for the excellent organisation, hospitality, and inspiring programme. We’re looking forward to meeting our members again for more insightful exchanges!
